The veg in veg tan means that the leather was tanned using vegitation and is a lrosess that has been used for thousands of years and producess the best quality leathers. Veg tanning leather can take up tl 2 months as opposed to the cheaper chrome tanned leather we see in consumer product and veg tan does use harsh chemicals that ruin the intergrity of the leather, which makes this an heirloom product which means it will last you a life time. As this is a hand made product each one is unique and each time we make one the leather changes due to natural differences in each piece. Because this is a hand made product they are not perfect each waller stitches and stamps and cuts differently we do not use machine in any step so each one is unique.
